When to wear a wool sweater
When I was little, my mother was a sweater collector.
When she grew up, my mom wore a sweater in every sweater she bought.
She loved the fabric, the shape, and the texture.
But she didn’t like the colors.
She’d love to have her favorite color, and she’d also like to wear it in a different color, but her sweater didn’t really suit her.
I didn’t want to have a sweater that she didn´t like.
I was really picky about what colors I wanted to wear.
So when my mom bought me a wool jacket, I was totally cool with it.
I was very picky and I wanted my mom to wear that, too.
And so I bought my mom a sweater, and it was so cute, and I wore it all the time.
But eventually, I realized that I didn´T want it to look like I was wearing a sweater.
It had to have that unique feel that I was going for.
It was like, Wow!
That’s not how I wanted it to be.
So when I bought a sweater for my son, I made sure to tell him, No, that was not how you want it.
You don’t want it that way.
That really stuck with me, and my son has always been really pickier.
I told him that I’d never wear wool, and that he needed to choose from a bunch of colors.
I would say, You know what?
This is wool.
You can wear it all day, and then you don’t need it.
That´s just not what I was thinking about.
So he always wore wool, even when I was buying his clothes.
But I did notice, once I started wearing wool sweaters, he was much more picky.
And I think it was just a byproduct of the way I was making decisions about my wardrobe.
It was like this little thing that I had been working on for so long that I just knew it was going to be perfect.
